What are your thoughts towards video game addiction? Is it real or just a phase?

 
Ive known people to sit at their computer and play games from the time they woke up to the time they go to bed. It's real but its better than going to the bar every night or running the streets and doing drugs.
 
its real, i been gaming since i was 8 years old and now im 37 this year!!
